Scatter plot

Open the Scatter tab among the analyses tabs in the top of the main window, and press the Scatter plot button to load the analysis into the Control panel. The colors and symbols used to represent the data in the plot can be customized in the Data manager under the Colors & Symbols tab.

The data that is to be plotted is selected in the Control panel. The default is that 2 data rows/columns are plotted against each other, but the 3D check box can be ticked to plot 3 rows/columns against each other. If the Columns radio button is selected, each row is represented by a symbol in the plot and the selected data columns are x- and y-axis, and vice versa if the Rows radio button is selected. All data files that belong to the active data set are found in the drop-down list at the bottom, where you choose which data file to collect the data from. Press the Labels button to turn on/off the labeling of the data. The legend can be turned on/off by pressing the Edit button and going to Series/Marks/Visible and Chart/Legend/Visible respectively.

In the status bar of the chart window, the project name, data set, data file are given, and it is indicated which rows/columns that are plotted against each other. The chart windows that shows the plot includes buttons to Edit, Print, Copy, and Print the plot. If the plot is in 3D, there are also buttons to Rotate, Move, Zoom, and change the Depth of the plot. The Normal button resets the 3D buttons but not the settings made.
