Control Panel
The Control panel handles your projects and their associated data sets and data files. It also handles the analyses and classification methods.
A data file can be loaded into the Control panel in a number of ways.

When a data file is loaded into the Control panel and a new project is created, one data set is automatically created within the project as well. The loaded data file belongs to this automatically created data set. To add more data sets to your project, you can either Clone the active data set to a create a new set which is a copy of the selected data set, or press the Plus button to create a new, empty set. Tick the Rename check box, type in a name, and press Apply to rename the active data set, and press the Cross button to delete it entirely. You can also add comments to each data set by pressing the Pencil in the Control panel. This is helpful when several data sets have been added to a project, so that you can easily distinguish between them. The settings for the active data set are defined in the Data manager.

Several projects can simultaneously be available in the Control panel. They are added and removed from the panel by pressing the Import project and Delete project button in the main window respectively. You can also use the Cross button under Projects in the Control panel to remove it from the Control panel. To store the information in your project, press the Export project button in the main window, choose Export project in the File menu in the main window, or press the Export project in the Control panel. This will save all your settings such as data sets, data files, reversible scaling in the Data manager, coloring of samples etc. Press the Pencil button to add comments about your project.

Pressing the Arrow buttons at the bottom of the Control panel lets you switch between the project, data set, and data file tabs in the Control Panel. You can also press the respective tabs to the left.

These functions are all found under the Data tab in the Control panel. The other tab is the Analysis tab, and this is where the analyses that you perform are handled. Here you can easily switch between the analyses that you have loaded into the Control Panel. To load an analysis into the Control panel, simply press the corresponding button in one of the analysis tabs in the main window. In the top part of the Control panel, you can see which project and data set that the analysis was loaded for. If you want to do an analysis on another data set, change the active data set under the Data tab in the Control Panel and load the analysis once more. You can remove loaded analyses from the Control panel by pressing the Cross button
