Normalization to Sample Amount
If samples were based on different amounts of starting material, the measured values can be corrected if information about sample amounts is provided in a classification column, such as #RNA in the figure below.
Select Normalization to sample amounts in the Pre-processing menu in the Data editor to open a dialog box. Choose the classification column that states the sample amounts for each row (sample), and press Apply.
Data are converted to expression per amount unit of sample using the following equation.
